Hi there, I’m Ylainia. A photographer bouncing between Malta & Gozo.

Photography began as something personal. In 2014, when my son was born, I picked up my first DSLR to document his early days. What started as curiosity quickly became something much bigger. Over time, I realised I felt most at home behind the camera, and with the support of my family, I slowly turned that quiet passion into my full-time work.

Today, I photograph families, couples and weddings, documenting moments as they unfold, with an honest and natural approach. In 2023, I photographed my first wedding solo, and it confirmed what I already knew: I love capturing real connection, emotion, and all the in-between moments that make a day unforgettable!

I’m always open to thoughtful and creative ideas, whether that means an unconventional location, a concept that feels personal to you, or travelling to capture your story somewhere meaningful. The best work often begins with a spark of something different.
